Current Officers and Their Duties

Susan Thomasson, President  

The President shall preside at all meetings of the V.L.E.P.O. and the Board of Directors.  The President shall appoint standing and special committees whenever she/he deems it necessary. The President shall also be the executive head of V.L.E.P.O., subject to the direction of the Board of Directors.

 

Dan Thomasson, Vice President The Vice President will assume the powers and duties of the President when the President, due to absence, resignation or incapacity, is unable to perform the duties of the Presidency. Arrange for speakers for each meeting.
 
Julieann Bradley, Secretary The Secretary shall keep a record of all meetings of VLEPO and the Board of Directors. She/he shall have custody of and maintain a membership roll in conjunction with the membership committee. The Secretary shall also perform other duties as may be prescribed by the Board of Directors or the President.
 

Michelle Roland, Treasurer 

The Treasurer shall have custody of the funds of  VLEPO; receive and give receipts for funds due VLEPO; deposit the funds in VLEPO depository; disburse funds as authorized by the budget or as approved by the membership. He/she shall preserve vouchers for such payments; keep the financial records of VLEPO. He/she shall report VLEPO current financial conditions at each meeting of the Board of Directors and VLEPO. The Treasurer shall render a complete financial report for the year at the January meeting and have records for audit. He/she shall prepare an annual budget when required by and with the advice of the Board of Directors. The budget will be submitted to the membership for approval.

1.  Establish the VLEPO policies
2.  Present its recommendations to the membership for approval
3.  Ensure that officers and committees perform their functions.
